Founding Story & Commitment to Clarity
Peakmarrow started because searching for straightforward men's health information online mostly turns up two extremes: articles so vague they say nothing, or ones stuffed with jargon nobody defines. Our founder, a health writer himself, got tired of reading five hundred words to learn nothing useful and decided to try writing it the other way round.
The process we built is simple on purpose. A writer researches a topic against NHS and FSA guidance, sometimes talks to a dietitian or physiotherapist, and drafts the piece in plain English. A second editor reads it before anything goes live, checking both accuracy and whether a normal reader would actually understand it.
We keep the reader side just as simple: no paywall, no sign-up wall to read an article, and a real person answering the contact form. If a piece turns out to be wrong or outdated, we say so openly and note the date it was corrected, rather than quietly editing it away.
Clarity Over Jargon
We'd rather use a plain comparison than a technical term nobody asked for. If a word needs defining, we define it in the same sentence.
Independence
We don't run sponsored health claims dressed up as articles, and any advertising is always kept separate from editorial content.
Accountability
When we get something wrong, we correct it in the open and note the date it changed, rather than quietly editing it away.

We check every article against public guidance before it goes live, and if something doesn't hold up, we don't publish it.
How We Keep It Accurate
Every article is checked against public health guidance and read by a second editor before it goes live. If new guidance appears, we update the piece and note when it changed.
